«Nous allons nulle part, nous venions de partout» (André Migdal)

«With his installation «spurlos», sound artist and musician Robert Aeberhard deals with the human peculiarity of leaving behind traces – during life as well as after death. Portraits of statues on graveyard Père-Lachaise in Paris and photographs of footprints imprinted in the concrete in bunker “Valentin” in Bremen are used to confront intended and accidental traces and a soundtrack in between music and sound art has them enter into a dialogue. A combination of images, videos and “traceless sounds” is used to approach the human necessity of leaving behind traces as well as the often silenced fear of disappearing without a trace. A disturbing search for traces in between remembrance and being left behind in Paris and Bremen.»

Sound- and videoinstallation by Robert Aeberhard. Six channel audio, two projections.

Credits: Piano played by Mik Keusen. Drums played by Kevin Chesham. «Nous allons nulle part, nous venions de partout» based on André Migdal‘s «Cantate pour la vie».
